I've used the CX bullet's forerunner, the GMX on hogs. Performed well. For deer you may be better off with a cup and core bullet and save some $$$ too.

I’m a solid copper fan. Shoot Barnes in about everything I got. The Barnes dont shoot great in this particular rifle. So I was wanting to try these to see. I understand what you’re saying about $. But bullets are the cheapest part of hunting lol

I have heard nothing but good things, bought some for a 300blk for the grand son. They are very accurate in his rifle.

I used them this past year and the year before. I think I’ve tagged about 6 with them so far.
I caught one that went from center of chest to rear leg and was found just under the skin after shattering the hip (from a 6.5cm). Didn’t blow out too much meat. I’ve had better terminal performance with the CX’s than Barnes LRX, so I’m going to stick with them for the foreseeable future.

I bought some for my 7PRC too that shot just under 1MOA but I never got around to getting a deer with it this year.

It’s a bit anecdotal but I used GMX’s (precursor to CX) and CX’s for a couple seasons with good results but really wanted to try LRX’s and finally got my hands on some this past season. I hit a decent buck and a doe at the start of the season (which looked like solid hits) but couldn’t find either. They ended up being the first two deer I’ve lost with a rifle in 18 years & it happened back to back. Went back to CX’s and didn’t have another problem all year. Rest of the deer piled up within 50 yards max. Not saying it was the bullet since LRX’s have a solid reputation but it just left a bad taste in my mouth that made me go back to CX’s.

Only other comment I have is the LRX’s in my creedmoor we’re a bit long for my Christensen. I could chamber a round but I couldn’t eject unless I fired. It would jam up in my rifling and lock up the bolt. Probably more of a rifle issue than ammo, but it was just a disappointment all the way around with the rounds.
