Looking for one to plink and also for the trap line. tired of toting the long gun, Preferably a revolver.
I've looked at the heritage and ruger wranglers. Anybody got a preference of those two or another one I need to look at.

I have 2 of the high standard pistols . Great guns , very accurate an hard to find . Double action revolver with 6” barrels. Think mine is called a double 9 sentinel . Love them guns . Wish I had one that had a magnum cylinder. Quit making them years ago.

I don't think you can compare the quality of the Heritage and Ruger. I keep a Heritage 22 with rat shot in my console for snakes and such, but you can almost consider it a disposable gun. Reviews online are hit-or-miss, but mine's had a few hundred rounds through it with no issue. Only thing I don't care for is the sights aren't adjustable so you just have to learn where POA/POI is and account for it accordingly. But for a gun that can be had new for $150ish (I bought mine for $50 from a buddy) what can you really expect?

I own both for the exact purpose. Wrangler hands down. Only reason I havent sold the rough rider is the second cylinder for 22 WMR. My girls can handle 22 WMR with rat shot. Little more power over 22LR.

I loved the Taurus 94 I had. Wish I’d never sold it.

I have one that holds 9 rounds. Neat old pistol. Got an original leather holster for it too.

I have a Ruger 22/45 and I've never even shot it.

I tote my Ruger Mark II or my Ruger Single Six.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I'd buy the Wrangler. In particular, the one with the short barrel and the birds head grip.

I bought a wrangler while back off here, I really like it, mainly use it in my John boat on the river and keep in the ranger. It’s cerokted and is pretty accurate pistol.

Ruger is definitely the better made gun but I have a couple of the heritage revolvers just because they are cheap and so far been reliable. I use one of them for trapping and it doesn’t really matter how it gets treated because I think I paid less than $150 for it new.

I have a Wrangler and a Super Wrangler
A little yellow paint on the front sight post is helpful

Just depends on how much you want to spend.
Ruger is better overall and the Heritage is less expensive. I don't own a wrangler but have shot one. I do have the heritage and the best thing about it is the mag cylinder. I wouldn't trade two of each for my single six.
