Foreman of high production pine logging crew . 8 folks on my crew . Love my job . Get spend everyday in woods with no boss. Based out Florence al. Contractor for the ol champion / IP land company . Work primarily in southern tenn. I operate the tree cutter but can run any piece equipment made . Got new equipment. Ac, heated seat, Bluetooth radio . 42 years in this business. 33yrs with same company work for now . How many loads do y’all produce per day? How many pieces of equipment on your crew?

Self employed grease monkey, floor sweeper, QA, sales, procurement and about anything else that has to be done.
Repair semi trailers and install PTO and hydraulics onto semi trucks at one place, build bulk feed trailers at the other.
One is booming and one is slow as crap. Hard to get your foot in the door with a brand new name brand to compete with the big boys, but we're giving it all we got. Maybe it'll be enough.
