Curious when the nest would hatch off? First week of April giving her time to lay 10-12 more eggs?

It happens every year in south Alabama. These warm periods in February have always kicked it off. By March 25th the birds are already well on their way and probably completed one cycle This is not what studys show. All show breeding/nesting in South Alabama at about the same time as North Bama

I've seen Doves on the nest the second week of February.....why not Turkeys?
Because turkeys aren't doves??? As I stated above, may could happen. It would be highly unusual tho.

We've seen pictures of poults posted here very early in the season. That hen likely would have been setting by March 10, just a few days before the old start of the season. I think it's unusual, but not real unusual. It's my understanding that the turkey research that was going to prove that we needed to wait to start turkey season hasn't been at all successful in proving that. I'm gonna start a new thread asking about it.

Let’s say you had a turkey strutting with 10 hens now, how long will they stay with those hens before he moves on. It’s 30+ days before season.

We want to read all of them, and the definitive conclusions. Surely a fellow wouldn’t post what you posted, without knowing where to find all theses definitive findings.
