We had a couple of Hell fire and brimstone preachers (Baptist) and we had a few that were just loud and sweaty, but preached Love. Fire and brimstone was wasn’t about loud and slathered up. It was about being guilted with the eternal damnation from sinning and Hell’s wrath associated vs a message of Love through God’s salvation. That’s just how I interpreted fire and brimstone, from a Baptist perspective, and may be different in other denominations. That’s was mine at that CoC
