While serving as Vice President he judged a spelling bee at a Trenton New Jersey Elementary School. He corrected a 12 year old after the kid correctly spelling the word "potato". Quayle erroneously buzzed him out of the contest and instructed the child that potato had an E on the end of it. What a goob lol.

Heck, if I was given the vice president position, I think I could keep my mouth shut & stay invisible for four years. Then, as long as I was able to walk, wave, and smile while remaining reasonably upright, the world would think I was doing a great job.
It's a lot like being an NFL backup Quarterback. Good money for doing basically doing nothing but being ready.
