This thread went about how I expected. I think the perception that Alabama hunters shoot every deer that pokes its head out is a myth. The ones with "high" kill numbers are likely either outlaws OR have properties that support the harvest and would likely be eligible for DMAP. Neither group would be affected by any further restrictions (other than whatever red tape DMAP presents).

*Disclaimer: I don't doubt the negative effects of the season extension in North AL and will defer to the residents/experts of that area on that situation.

I'm also a little wishy-washy on shortening the doe season. I very rarely shoot does so I wouldn't be affected by it, but I figure those that do, would just shift the dates unless you SEVERELY limit the days.
