Well Tire Engineers is no better. For some reason they think they need to use an impact gun to remove a 12mm head bolt, and have rounded most of mine off. So now they drain the oil from the filter into the skid plate and half butt wash it out.
I had to helicoil some on the 02 tundra, I haven't tried to get under my 05 and look to see what its going to take to get those off. It's pretty sad when that is the only place I take my truck to have the oil changed, and they can't do it properly either. a majority of mechanics need to have their impacts taken away from them. If you wanna use it to remove bolts, find......but there's not really any reason for them to run bolts down with one. Last time I had to remove lug nuts on one of our cars, I had to use a tire iron with like a 5' steel pipe as a cheater bar just to break them loose.....and I ended up bending the pipe. There's zero excuse for it....it's just laziness on their part
There are 3 certainties in an uncertain world:
1. All Politicians Are Liars 2. All Gun Laws Are an Infringement 3. Taxation Is Theft

The oil filter housing is no problem for me, auto repair is how I made my living. My problem is why the hell did make it so you have to remove the skid plate to change the filter. I threw my skid plate away after the second filter change back in 2009. I did that on my 2018 Nissan Frontier 4 door with the V6. I like begin able to get to the filter/drain plug, without all that crap in the way.
