I dont trust alabama power or their electronic meters. We have had colder winters and the power usage never got this high

I thought the attic blast last Christmas was worse but my bill was about $150 more this year.

$253 No gas, no woodstove, all electric . Meter was read on 1-17.

I’ve got one building that has no heat or climate control at all. The only electricity used in the building is led lighting NOTHING else at all. The power bill usually averages $20-45.00 per month depending on how much it’s used $68.00 was the most it’s ever been. It’s been locked up for several weeks with no use, nothing on, nobody has been in it. The bill was $611.00


So rest assured there’s a lot of BS behind these bills. I’m not paying it under any circumstances, I told them to pull the damn meter and I’ll buy and use a generator when I need lights in there.
The truck shop was only $300 above average
My house in McCalla was $475,give or take $50 above average, and we stay there very little lately with the auto thermostats set on 62 heat 74 ac

Mines the same but im on budget billing. It has gone up $100/mo in the past year. Sept, Oct and Nov i used $100/mo less than what i was paying. I thought surely it would go down. It went up $30 more. And im quite certain itll go up again next time.

cost more to heat from 15 to 65 than it does to cool from 95 to 75.

I have to come clean my bill does include gas. Water. Trash. Sewer. Sewer is the one that gets me

I Grew up with a Fireplace. These Stoves are th' Shizzle for Heat!! Not as FAST as Gas Heat.....BUT CHEAP to RUN!!

The only one I can’t figure or have a problem with is the empty building without climate control or the possibility of using any electricity going up over $500

Is there a possibility that someone else has plugged into an outside outlet somewhere and has been using it?
