For you guys hunting across Alabama, are y’all still putting out doe estrous scent? When do you stop using it during the rut? Just curious.

I am not a Doe Pee user. In my opinion, it is the biggest waste of money in the hunting world. Dig dirt from a scrape for better results.

Had an unplanned sit yesterday so I threw out some doe pee to help mask anything from my blue jeans. About 15min into the hunt a spike came out on food plot and trotted all the way to the box stand with his noise up. Our deer rut in December.

Haven’t really considered any other scents in the rut? That begs a bigger question. Do y’all even use doe estrous during the rut or just let everything be natural?

I just grab some fresh pine needles on the way in, twist them and break them and rub down with them

I did that . When we had cows I'd step in cow poop too.

When it was still and kinda foggy or air just not moving I have pine needles smoking beside me

I use fresh estrus from a local farm a few times. I saw a coyote catch the scent and stop dead in his tracks and give it a hard look for aa few minutes. Tried some pumpkin seed in front of a camera where deer regularly gather. Generated zero interest. I'm not sold any of these scent do anything one way or another. I've never seen anything conclusive searching for evidence online.

I use to have some success with Harmon Triple Heat until the real stuff was outlawed. I had does and bucks come in to it.
The synthetic stuff doesnt seem to work the same.

Just my opinion but I think the bucks know the scent of the does in the area for the most part. I’ve had limited success at best using scents. The best thing to do is to hunt the does in the rut, the bucks will be there

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I’ve tried them over the years from time to time. Only place where I felt confident it worked was in SE Minnesota & N Wisconsin. These Bama deer are skittish

I used to use the tinks and Harmon’s deer scents and had good luck with them. Seems like the big thing around town now is the native deer scents everyone is raving about it

We used to have a member, who would use a hypodermic needle and draw it out of the bladder of does and bucks when they were being gutted.
