I walk about 2 miles every morning and also drive quite a bit for work (At least for the next couple of months) and I like to listen to podcasts.

I have all sorts of interests, but I find podcasts about hunting, fishing, sports, etc... to be boring and shallow, and prefer to listen to news, history, spiritual, the unexplained, geopolitics, etc...

I also find that most podcasts I find are extremely liberal biased, so I'm trying to find straight up news, stories, etc... Not right wing stuff either. Most of that stuff I find to come of as someone haranguing me straight over my earbuds and that's not enjoyable either, even if I agree with what the person is saying.

NPR is unbiased ?

No. Of course not. That's why I'm looking for unbiased news sources.

I like to get information from a variety of sources, and I'm perfectly capable of separating the chit from the Shinola, I just get tired of hearing the "Oh... Here we go again" liberal B.S. all the time.

The President's Daily Brief is one to try. Host Mike Baker is former CIA. Very knowledgeable. 15-20 min daily updates of the world.

I use to be a big NPR fan until they started shoving the liberal crap down our throats.
I quit listening about 10 years ago.

For history I highly recommend The History of Rome and Revolutions by Mike Duncan. Both series take a while to hit their stride but, when they do they are worth it. The series on the French Revolution is Fantastic. Portraits of Blue & Grey is all Civil War Biography/History. It is clearly an amateur/labor of love but the content is good.

BBC In our time has some interesting episodes on science and history but can be somewhat dry. I don't listen to every episode. The Rest is History is another British show that covers a lot of historical topics. It is more lighthearted but very entertaining. People love Hardcore History but I could never get into it.

For news, I enjoy the Remnant and Advisory Opinions (legal/SCOTUS news and opinion). Those are both produced by a traditional (i.e, not Trump fan) right wing media group. They try to shoot straight and I enjoy them.

For spirituality, I'll listen to some old Adrian Rodgers sermons on Love Worth Finding and The Daily Liturgy Podcast to get my head straight on my daily commute. Bible Talk is a group of professors going verse by verse through the Bible through a lens of biblical theology. Very interesting but I'm still in Genesis. Upstream, Gospel Bound, and Reconstructing Faith are all religious podcasts with a focus on cultural topics. I'll listen to some of those.

101.1 does some really good bible studys in the morning. Im not even sure i know what a podcast is.

Irish, the Martyrmade podcast is an incredible deep dive into history. Dan Carlin’s Hardcore history also amazing. Both podcasts will provide many hours of phenomenal content.

Obviously not current events based, but the Hornady and Backcountry Hunting podcasts are good.

NPR used to offer straight news and still does on some of their reports. About 10 years ago they, they shifted toward advocacy for progressive/liberal causes and it gets worse every year. I play a game every day when I first get in the car and NPR is on, I'll leave it on the dial until they mention racism, white privilege, LGBTQ bias, or "gender affirming care" and then I'll change the station. Usually this means that I change the station within 60 seconds.

American History Tellers is pretty awesome. You have to sift through and skip over the left leaning history, but there are hundreds of seasons and plenty of good stuff. I'm currently on the American Revolution, and it's not political at all. I have gone through all the WW2 and Civil War related episodes also and they are great.

I just stay away from any episodes that are obviously pushing social agendas. I.E. Abortion and the courts, civil rights stuff, anything that just by looking at the title you know how it's going to roll.

That's hilarious. I always turn it on and record the amount of time before any of the above words are spoken, or the word "Trump." It usually doesn't make it to the first red light.

I have found the "Against the Odds" podcasts by Wondery very entertaining. They do deep dives in to some of the great survival situations in history. I particularly liked the ones on Katrina, the trapped Chilean miners and the boys soccer team from Thailand caught underground by flooding (probably my favorite).

They've always been the mouthpiece for the left. At least as far back as I can remember.
