Have not been on here since last Wed/Thur I think. Killed a nice one Friday afternoon ( Barbour Co)... processor said the fat was tinged pink which was an indicator the rut was on. The buck followed a doe from a pine thicket into a wide open pasture. Unfortunately, it was a 203 yard shot and all I I had was a .308 with Corelokts , but he piled up DRT. Probably just got lucky. 45 degrees and 10-12 mph winds. I have been paying attention to everyone saying you can kill big deer in a high wind- so I went. It worked out for me. I've never heard that if fat was tinged pink that was an indication of the rut..... Hmmm did he make that up?.... Congrats on that big buck Stickers...
Did you know that Beer Nutz are over a Dollar...and Deer Nutz are under a Buck...

Got on stand 20 min ago - spike already came by so okay hunt already
Good luck
At my buck field - with lack of deer been seeing - expectations very low. At least spot fresh - hardly hunted this stand all year
Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self We need prayer for our country now more than ever

Working the thermals, Sitting with my back to the little warrior in a little block of woods with my buddiy....
we both have our sons and are sitting together covering this bottom.
Got here late and sounded like a freight train coming through the woods.
Hopefully we did not blow everything out of here.
Beautiful afternoon and sitting in some beautiful woods that haven’t been messed with too much.
Good luck fellas!

On a bow stand where a shooter has been showing up right after dark. Hoping he’s early today!
Don't blame me for your bad decision-

He has been processing deer in that area for the last 15 yrs or so... that is what he said he notices most when "rutty" looking deer come in. Has to do with stress and adrenaline surging during chase and lockdown he thinks. He has no reason to tell anyone a tall tale.

Rut is wide open in my neck of the woods. Typically the 21/22 around where we hunt is the absolute peak best time to hunt and it paid off again. Killed the 10 chasing off another buck from his doe. Had another 8 run a doe all over about 10 minutes before I shot him. Got in the stand at 3 shot him at 330. Saw 3 bucks total and 2 does. Had a 4 point running does all over while dragging him out. Been after this one for a few years, not a some high scoring stud but an older buck we wanted to shoot. Been 5 or 6 years since I’ve shot one with a gun! Felt great! Ice on his back from the winter storm
