They'll be better, no doubt about that. No doubt about Auburn getting better, no doubt about everything happening at Alabama is bad and leading to a downward spiral, i believe the word was implosion. This is the reality of fandom. I do agree, i believe Auburn will get better, they about have to, but all the doom and gloom about Bama is a bunch of horse pucky.

I guess all younger alabama fans never knew about life before Saban. I well remember the 3 Mikes. I don't forsee the new coach being that bad.
The left lane is for the the purpose of moving the flow of traffic forward regardless of the speed limit. If your impeding the flow of traffic get your ass in the right lane. It's really that simple...

I guess all younger alabama fans never knew about life before Saban. I remember it, but do you really think life after Saban will or even could look like life before him? If they havent learned how to run a football team in 17yrs, they deserve whatever they get. Nick Saban is a great coach, but hes just a man. What he did wasnt a secret, its a method. Pretty sure anyone could do it.

I guess all younger alabama fans never knew about life before Saban. It’s interesting to me that people act like the time from Stallings to Saban was the norm. From 1925-2020 Alabama has won a national championship in every decade except the 50’s and the 80’s. That’s 11 decades and only 2 without a championship. The time from Stallings to Saban was a fluke and not the norm. There’s other oddities too, like people who get all over Alabama for claiming 41, but don’t say anything about us not getting 66. In the official record books we were awarded 41. I don’t think a lot of Bama fans love that but the fact 66 isn’t claimed makes up for it. My son hadn’t spent a day on this earth without Saban as the head coach until the day after he retired. My son will be driving this year. I say all that to say, winning is the tradition at Bama, the only flashes in the pan are losing seasons.

But the way Saban did things and the current NIL / transfer situation makes that process almost unachievable in today's cfb world. I think that is the main reason Saban retired. That and his age.

But the way Saban did things and the current NIL / transfer situation makes that process almost unachievable in today's cfb world. I think that is the main reason Saban retired. That and his age. The same thing happened when the spread got popular. They adapted. The new coach was speaking along the same lines, adapting and using what is available the best way possible to win games. I believe this is one thing thatll keep the tide rolling. Theyre abit down right now and have been a couple years, but they are adapting and that showed this year. Bama actually got better this year fron the beginning of season to the end. That is how its suposed to work but that isnt common at alabama, i guess because of injuries and the effects they have on the team, more than anything. But this year they were different. And im not arguing with you, just telling how i see it, trying to be positive and realistic at the same time. Seeing the improvement throughout tge season was very good to me looking at alabama going forward. I really believe theyll be just fine. Maybe not champions every other yearbut staying right up there in tge top.
