looking for a few food grade 55 gal drums with the removable sealed lids. anyone know where i can get this at near the bham area??
These will be used to store corn in outside in the woods as I don't have a feeder just yet and I'm tired of hauling a bag every few days out there as I can't drive in there but one time per month per land owner

You may be surprised by the weight of a 55 gal barrel full of corn. Bags are more convenient. A 55 gal barrel will hold almost exactly 6 bushels , 6 bushels of dry corn would be 336 lbs.

Zeiglers in Selma used to sell plastic ones that the smoking additives (think liquid smoke) used to come in. They don't do production there anymore but they may still have some if you call them. They used to give them to the City and Public Works used them as barricades when we needed to block a road. They would be perfect for storing corn. Food grade and light weight. Give them a call and just see if they have anyone there answering the phone still. They shut down production, but not distribution. Everything is made by someone else and a Zeigler's label is stuck on it. A shame because their bologna, sausage, and hams were pretty good. If you like a Red Hot, they made the best.
Lord, please help us get our nation straightened out.
