My best friends son is hunting with me, is poorly equipped and really needs new boots. He is very large, like 350 @ 14 yr old, with very large calves. Any big boys out there with boot suggestions.

I wear a size 14. Have a pair of Rocky boots that are leather with cordura up the ankle. Have had these for 10 + years with no leaks. They are 800gram thinsulate also.

What shoe size? Once you get above size 13 it's tough to find wide sizes. I wear either a 14 or 15 in rubber boots and don't have big calves and don't have much room to spare in my rubber boots.

Big calves may eliminate tall rubber boots. I actually prefer to wear leather hunting boots unless I'm walking through creeks.

350 at 14 years old...sounds like he needs to be doing some manual labor around the farm.

I agree he could do with more exercise but I have never seen him eat excessively and he was genetically cursed in regards to body shape. He is a true “pear” It’s just sad because he loves turkey hunting and is very limited in his ability to “run and gun”, but at least on my place I know where they are going to be and can set up some blinds. Did get him a bird last year and may have created a monster. Now he wants a limit lol
