I invested in some confederate currency a few years ago. Any chance it'll ever come back?

Ill be just fine either way. Interesting watching it go up and down though. Blackrock bought a bunch of it. So i could make a bunch of money or get screwed.

Here is the gimmick that the public is not aware of. Blackrock does not want any stock, asset, or any kind of value based any thing to reach its maximum possible valuation. The reason why is simple: If XYZ stock goes to the moon then everybody sells it, makes a crap ton of money, and then they have no need for Blackrock. So Blackrock, using its weight, will suppress a great asset's price so as to get more people trading the asset through them. Blackrock makes money on the trade not on the asset. Because they own so many assets they can then collect dividends which basically cover the tax and operating costs, but the profits come from the trades their clients are making.

If they are good clean looking bills you can take them to a coin and currency shop probably get a fair amount for them.

Point of fact. That is incorrect. Possession of gold was made illegal in the United States of America less than 100 years ago.

I’m not knocking gold, but let’s be accurate. beers

Ford repealed that Executive Order but that’s not to say it couldn’t be reinstated.

If this were still illegal then most Rap Stars should be in jail just from what is around their neck or in their grill. If the gov't wants to waste resources trying to find where I buried it then that is up to them.

Gold was illegal for 40 years.
That’s not an irrelevant detail. That’s all I’m saying. It’s not the “cure all”.

And it’s also one reason why I’m not high on Bitcoin. They’ll just make it illegal too.

That is also incorrect. President Roosevelt issued an executive order in 1933 fixing the price of gold and then made it so US denominated gold coins could no longer be minted and accepted as US currency. He then told the public that they must turn in their US denominated gold coins to get that amount for them. But it was always legal to hold gold in any form, however, because its price was fixed by Executive Order nobody traded in it. Roosevelt did that because Federal money was still backed by gold so the government tried to get as much of it as they could for the Federal Reserve. When Nixon further devalued our currency by taking us off the gold standard in 1973 then gold and silver became traded like any other commodity. That was the root cause of inflation in the 1970's. It just so happens that every country and our own Federal Reserve still regard Gold as the one true money outside of their own fiat systems and ever since Biden and the Globalists began taking over Central Banks all over the World have been acquiring and hoarding massive amounts of gold. .

I did and I'll trust Skinny's knowledge over a Wikipedia Article every day of the year. If you were right then there are criminal little old ladies everywhere.

One of the things large gold holders did after the 1933 order was to develop private banks in foreign countries, like Grand Cayman, Bermuda, and other stash house countries. The reason why was that at the time the Dollar was not worth much of anything beyond the US borders but gold was. Panama up until Jimmy Carter had a massive gold only bank that serviced the Panama Canal trade zone. Ships could roll into the canal and sell their cargo to whoever had the metal at the time. Panama City got rich as hell and should be like Singapore today but socialists got in there and screwed that up.

As for the little old ladies, they got around the gold confiscation by having their gold coins turned into jewellery which could be traded, other coins were relinquished to being called collectibles which were legal. Those collectibles strangely followed the price of gold. There were also a lot of boating accidents, like guns people often carry their gold on boats.

And they could make it illegal again, especially in a crisis.

They can make it illegal but they cant control it especially when they are dependent on it themselves. If they say they are not dependent on it then ask why they want to hold so much of it?
