I went up and took a class with Beards Only Taxidermy in March (was Birds Only). So I learned the latest on mounting turkeys. I helped a now retired taxidermist for a little bit Joe Earl Rogers. He was on HWY 52 in Taylor, AL for years. I helped him with deer. I’ve got 7 shoulder mounts to do. Gonna see how that goes before I start advertising a whole lot. Done many skull mounts, bobcats, small game, etc…I have a full time job, so taxidermy has been a hobby more or less, but I’m going to go semi-full blown with it in 5 years (Lord willing) when I retire from teaching. I’m located just south of Dothan, in Rehobeth for now. Will be Smith’s Taxidermy. Just putting the word out. Hate to hear that about David. He was a popular taxidermist for sure!
