Anyone hunt Redstone Arsenal Army post?
l have general questions about hunting pressure and access points.
Looking to discuss with someone that has or is currently hunting that property. I’ve wondered the same thing. Used to hunt up at Pelham range in Anniston and killed a lot of deer. Wondered why hunting the arsenal wasn’t a bigger thing up here. Well first the general public can’t get access, you have to be active/retired or a reason to be on post. Then if you have access you have to take a class with outdoor rec and register your firearm with the garrison. You’re supposed to claim the weapon every time you go on post but rarely do people do it. Then once you’ve done all that you have to sign out your hunting area.
