It's illegal to leave the state with a deer killed on Alabama?

I thought it was illegal to bring deer killed in other states into Alabama.

This is all about making money.

If Alabama gave two $hits about CWD, corn would not have been made legal via a permit. Just like every other govt agency. It is all about the Benjamins.

It’s all about the money. Have any of yall seen or been keeping up with the TWRA whistleblower concerning CWD in TN?

It said deer leaving Alabama and that the law had been in place for several years now…..Maybe I missed it somewhere, but I don’t remember ever hearing about it either.

Sure you can bring out of AL but Have to debone or use a processor to transport from AL to FL. FWC is checking too. I just use a processor in AL to help a local business.

What state line are they doing this at so I can avoid. This is just my situation but my property is in Alabama but I drive through Mississippi most of the way home then cross back into Alabama then back into Mississippi to get to my house. I live 1/4 mile over the state line. If I’m not staying at the camp I’ll bring a deer home and skin it here at the house.

A TWRA employee blew the whistle on a bunch of bogus test results. He was relieved of duty immediately. There’s an impending investigation going on now. I’ll find a link.

When I used to travel to Arkansas for duck hunting, there would be possum patrol set up along the state lines on I22/US78 with binos on overpasses looking for guys with deer in their truck beds

Yes. I’ve seen them on I-22.

Meanwhile the entire southern border of the US is wide open slap

It's not just Alabama enforcing that law, most States do now. I think MS is has added restrictions above what most states require. What's weird is is falls under the same laws as illegal bear parts and all that fun stuff.

That is sickening but spot on.

I guess the state emailed each free range deer and told them not to cross state lines unless they had a current physical exam.
Checking people to stop harvested deer from crossing lines....money grab..big government. How foolish sounding.

Wouldn’t it be FL or TN or MS, etc watching for those crossing into their state? If an AL warden stops you in AL then you haven’t done a thing wrong. I could see AL checking incoming traffic but don’t see any way they could do anything about out going traffic.
