I remember always getting some apples and oranges in my stocking as well as an assortment of mixed nuts. When my parents were kids growing up, this is what they always got on Christmas Day and they kept the tradition alive. I have not done this yet, but plan next year to start giving this to the grandkids. Thanks for bringing back the memories!

We would get an assortment of nuts, and a tangerine or 2 By the 60s, apples and oranges were pretty common, but tangerines were considered exotic.

Not just a toy but the original Tonka truck. Unkillable. A Remington single shot .22 an H&R 410. My first lb of Win760 when I was 14 my first 8lb jug of Unique when I was 16 to feed my Federal Ordnance .45acp. I think I turned out allright.

My uncle bought me a used Yamaha yz125. Very used. But it might as well have been brand new as far as I was concerned.
My absolute favorite gift was from my grandfather. He knew I loved art. Used scrap lumber to make me an art easel and table. I kept it until recently. A niece borrowed it and left it behind when she was evicted after a divorce. Still hasn't had the courage to tell me. But word got to me eventually. I truly miss having those around.
Character is not developed in moments of temptation and trial. That is when it is intended to be used.

Evel Knievel stunt motorcycle I had one of those. Remember getting a BMX bike when I was 12. Totally out the blue, never asked for it. Always got oranges, apples, walnuts and pecans in our stockings every year. Also got these chocolate covered cream drops. Forget what they were called. Got Brazil nuts too, but dad didn’t call them that. 😆

Evel Knievel stunt motorcycle I got one of those when I was 8-yrs old. I had my tonsils taken out and my Mom bought it for me and brought it to the hospital. The nurses were very kind and let me and other kid play with it in the hallway of the children's ward.

Y’all bringing back some good Ol memories with the stocking stuffers, Lionel, train set, big wheels, Rock’m Sock’m robots, Evil, and the guns. I guess one of my favorites was a new Elite racing go kart.
