Was at a dove shoot once a group of use were standing around getting our stuff ready to go to the field. There was a guy ( not me) in the group who wasn't a seasoned hunter . He had borrowed a 12 ga, Model 97 Winchester pump, one of the most dangerous shotguns ever made. He shucked a shell in the chamber and had his finger on the trigger. BOOM , at least he had it pointing in the ground , blew dirt all over us! Couple of guys were so shook up they left. That isn't actually a accident , just a frightening near miss. An Ithaca Model 37 will do that
