Reminds me of this quote...

No point in it. Very few are capable of a rational thought process and facts just annoy them and make them start getting loud and calling names.

I don’t mind discussions and debates, in the good spirit of learning something new, persuading, and testing my own views.

I don’t care for arguing and like it even less as I get older.

At umpire school you learn how to argue after a 10 minute talk you form two lines to "argue'
With instructors and then you switch lines graded and then you line up to do it again at which point Hall of Fame umpire Bruce Froemming walks out looks at the 4 instructors and says "What is this. A Fing quiz? Get outta here we're going to do cage work on changeups." All 4 instructors reply "Yes Mr.Froemming." and hustle off then you do cage work for an hour or so.

Skinny is my EX.Alcohol was involved.

Arguing achieves a predictable outcome

I was doing the chains on our last home playoff game and toward the end of the game i guess he was a coach comes right up behind me and say - u no u spotting that all wrong - i said - i spotting on refs foot exactly where he tells me. I should hav ignored from start. He said - well it wrong - at this point i am getting agitated. I said - i dont care w loud voice. This type crap never happen n my chain gang career. He said - yea - just keep cheating then - i should not hav gotten pissed but i did. He was trying to get me to mov marker in his teams favor. I just tapped on ref who i had already developed great rapor with and told him what's up and he tore that guy up and guy was lying entire time saying i never said nothing!! The ref kept dinging him amd i was thinking - what a loser - now he gone deny. He never bothered again. What i learned - just be stoic on sideline - ignore - keep pie hole shut

I believe it kills brain cells but some people push until you have to argue because you can’t walk away.

It be's that way sometimes.

Not worth my time and energy.

Life is a journey. Make sure and bring plenty of Beer.

My luck has been so bad lately, it could be raining pussies and I'd catch one with a dick broke off in it.

I decided to make a professional living out of arguing it as a professional debt collector. I handle mostly construction-related pre-litigation cases as my plumbers, framers, and concrete guys can't afford to sue every jackass general contractor or project owner that tries to get out of paying them. I've had a helluva case with a group of brothers who own an RV park lately. You can't get two words in before they are calling everyone involved liars and all sorts of other names too. You try and hash it all logically and it just goes in circles. It's been driving me nuts, because considering the costs of litigation for everyone usually people just need a moment to cool off and vent, before the real negotiations start. Not these guys. I just feel dumber every time I get into with these guys. Finally, I called another contractor and he said there was something kind of European/Middle Eastern about them.... I did some more digging and turns out they are part of a tribe of gypsies/Irish Travelers. Light bulb went off above head. We have a few of them in Texas, commonly do construction scams.

Man, I wished I would have known earlier.... a friendly reminder that arguing is a strategy for some people.
