Family is headed to Alaska July 19th through July 27th. Planning on fishing a day or two either in Seward, Kenai, or somewhere fairly close. Any guided fishing recommendations or any advice would be greatly appreciated. Looking for a great experience to catch salmon, trout, halibut, or all the above. Thanks in advance!

I lived in AK 27 years. There should be some silvers around that time of year in Resurrection Bay. You may be able to jump outside the bay for some halibut and ling cod. Rock Fish will be available inside the bay and out. Whittier (Prince William Sound) can be good too. Check out https://crazyraysak.com/, lots of my AK friends book with this guy.

That time of the year, you will be able to stop at any creek bridge you cross on the kenai peninsula and catch salmon until you get tired of reeling them in. Just keep a spinning rod and some rooster tails in your rental car.

You may look at the regs. A lot of those creeks will be closed and some will be fly fishing only. A little bear spray may be a good idea as well.

I visited my son working in Anchorage in early August this year . We went south down by Kachemak Bay into Homer to offshore fish and missed the Salmon bite completely. We did get some Halibut though. What we noticed is that the Salmon bite was full on in the creeks and streams along the Kenai Pininsula. I mean they were wearing them out. If I had it to do over I'd focus on Salmon anywhere on the Kenai River.
