I will tell you this. I had an 800 ac tract to flag and get harvested. adjoining "overseer" told me to make sure loggers came to see him for "security". I did not see it, but couple days later he had shot one and had it in the back of his truck. Logger died of cancer, but it was Gathen Burns from Piedmont. The way he described it and what it looked like gave me chills knowing I was out there in the woods with it. Gathen and his dad Carl were no BS people. If they said it happened, it did.


If there was an area that would support them it would be Duggar Mountain and northeast through Spring Garden into Ga. A lot of roadless woods there. I think the Duggar Mt. area is the largest tract of roadless timber in Al. if I'm not mistaken.
