The only people out there all day. Water was low which made the trip long from all the dragging, but the big spots were stacked and the wife wailed on em. Had a rare trifecta: Largemouth, Spot, and Redeye.

Nice! That's a great trifecta!

What area were y’all in? The Cahaba has some big spots and LM in some sections.

The Cahaba is LOW right now. If you were ever gonna try and wade fish it, now is the time.

I have fished all over alabama and the biggest LM I ever seen was in the Cahaba.

My neighbor claims to have caught one over 9 lbs on the Cahaba. Said it flooded a lot that year and he thinks it came from a busted pond. My big LM is about 5 lbs. My wife has caught a bunch of spots over 4 lbs and a couple that would go 5 lbs.

I hooked a 6# spot in trussville over 20 years ago. Me and a buddy both flipped out when it came out of the water and slung my worm. I miss wade fishing it. We caught a lot between 3-5# back then.

My dad and I used to wade the river at the country club all the time. Couldn’t carry much tackle because I had to save room in my pockets for free golf balls lol. We caught a ton of fish and it was a nice break from the typical tournament days.

Wife and I went from the Tville CC all the way to Hwy 78. Long trip, but the fishing was amazing. I don't think that gets a lot of fishing pressure. Wife caught a ton of fish, but I had the big one at 4 lbs.

A buddy and his dad wear them out on that stretch in kayaks.

That’s what we did from the golf course to wind song lake and yes golf balls everywhere.
