Doe #3 for “Chiller the Killer “

Good job fellas. I’ve been trying to get my boy on a deer after missing the big one youth weekend. He killed a big old half rack buck this weekend so now I can hunt a little bit. I might slip up and hunt some of this cold weather this week then I’m going back to Texas next week.

Going the SECCG in Atlanta this weekend so I’m out. May try to go Monday if weather is decent.

Thank you sir. Mostly focused on getting little man a good one for the rest of the season but will sneak a few solo hunts in when he wants to sleep in. Still plenty of time left.

I have killed two studs in Texas. One a nine point and one 8. I don’t know if they will be up grades or not. What determines that amount of points or score

Points are as follows : 5 points for a DEER and 1 additional point for each tine over 1"

Any deer entered that has an inside spread equal to or greater than 12", or has at least one tine equal to or longer than 6", will get an extra point added to the total score.
Examples.... An 8 point with a 16" spread and an 8" tine, or a 4pt with 10" spread with a 6.25" tine, a quailman special spike with a 13" spread. An extra pic with measurements will be required
for the extra point.

If one of your Texas deer counts for more, then you can upgrade.

inches don't matter for this contest, just points, as long as you get the spread credit or one point over 6" for the extra point.

Also - down there, snake boots are much more important than rubber boots. Them rattlesnakes down there move all year long.
