Oh the good ole days. Man have I had some fun and some good wrecks on one just like that. That one is super clean. Going down a steep hill and making a turn was always and adventure , So was trying to get out of a cutover with a deer on the back rack. Or the time I flipped over backwards with my son on the back. The homemade treestand holder I had bolted to the back rack is the only thing that kept him from being folded in half and breaking his back. Sooo many close calls.

Oh the good ole days. Man have I had some fun and some good wrecks on one just like that. That one is super clean. Going down a steep hill and making a turn was always and adventure , My buddy watched me roll several times down a pipeline when I got a tire off in the deep ruts. I couldnt get off, he said he was hollering dang it man turn it loose. I couldnt. Didnt hurt the machine or me much either honestly. Great memories of my Sweet Grandmother yelling at me to stop it when I would get it laid over on 2 wheels and drive around the yard or ride wheelies. It just tore her up.
Its not the will to win but the will to prepare to win!

Going down a steep hill and making a turn was always and adventure , Yeah, that was always adventurous, but trying to ride up a steep, wet prairie mud, 45-60 degree hill, in the dark, with your rifle slung across your chest and a big buck and treestand strapped on the back rack, without rolling it or having it flipping back over on top of you, was always where the real fun and adventure was at. LOL I've got smile on my face now, and my palms are sweating, just thinking about all the crazy stuff we did hunting off those back before 4 wheelers showed up on the scene. It's a honestly wonder and a miracle that someone didnt die. Stuff I wouldnt in a million years try today in my early 50s.

Badass... I had one of those when they were new.

Has that been restored or is it original? There’s no rust on the exhaust. I would love to have one of those and a 250r I had a 250r. That thing was a rocket. Going 70mph on dirt on 3 wheels was fun.

I bought it from original owner and it has always been kept in basement and ridden in neighborhood..there is no dirt. I have all the original paperwork, keys, etc I’m jealous! That is an awesome find! I actually still have a 1985 big red at my parents house, but it hasn’t been cranked in years. It’s in very rough shape from all the chit I put it through when I was younger. Both rear fenders are busted off from riding when fenders were iced over. They are extremely brittle when they are frozen.

Nice. Always be sure to plant your foot before turning. It'll show you how much grip those rear wheels have.

Driving it does feel odd after not being on one for a lot of years but I think it would come back to me pretty quick..... That thing is dangerous. You should sell it to me

Nice knowing you Crocker. In all seriousness, that is nice and looks brand new from the dealer. Congrats on the find.

I think you can hold the gear shifter up, give it gas, and then pop your foot down and get the front tire in the air. I heard. From a friend. Confirmed. You can also keep one foot on the peg where the gear shifter is, put your other leg on the seat and rest your foot on the pull bar at the back, hit the gas and pull up and walk a wheely.
