Serving as the best man at my son's wedding today. I guess I should have taught him better than to get married on the opening day of bow season. LOL Good luck to everyone! Opening day of Bow season in Alabama is over rated at least he got it out of the way before the rut. Why is it over rated? If I had to choose between hunting opening day of Bow season or any weekend in January I would pick January every time. Not saying it’s a bad time to hunt I’m just saying there are worse times to have a wedding. Over rated may have been a bad description, but when I take vacation time to hunt in Alabama it’s in the last 5 weeks of season. With all that being said. If I didn’t have to work tonight I would have been in the woods today. But I work the next 3 nights so I’ll be out there Wednesday.
