Matt Brock is from Fayette AL, where he and his wife Kerin, have 3 wonderful children, Luke, John and Savanna. They all enjoy hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Matt has been an avid outdoorsman since he could walk, and has always had a passion and drive to manage natural resources for recreational enjoyment. 🏕️ . He graduated from Mississippi State University with a B.S. in Wildlife Science in May, 2007. He began employment with the MS Dept. of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks in southeast MS as a regional biologist.🧑🔬 . After four years he saw an opportunity to gain experience in the private sector with the NWTF as a longleaf project biologist in MS and AL. Shortly thereafter, an opportunity became available to relocate closer to home, where he began as a wildlife biologist with the AL Dept of Wildlife and Freshwater Fisheries. He managed lands on Black Warrior and Sam R Murphy WMAs before transferring to the Technical Assistance Program, which assisted landowners with wildlife management information and recommendations.🌲 . Matt is now the owner of Habitat 1st Properties, LLC, a wildlife consulting and property management business that specializes in prescribed fire and native vegetation management. He primarily hunts white-tailed deer and eastern wild turkey, but is subject to hunt anything in season. 🦌🦃 .
