Finally listed the Trussville house for sale. It's the end of an era. All 5 of our kids when to school in Trussville. We raised a family there. It is a wonderful town that has maintained its unique small town feel despite thoroughly modernizing with a really nice entertainment district, shops, parks and all sorts of amenities. We will miss all that Trussville has to offer. It's kind of sad really, I kept the house way longer than I should have, there are a lot of good memories there with Mrs. Irish, but also a lot of bad memories there too from my previous marriage, and living through the deaths of my son, my Mom and my Dad. Time moves on however... Fortunately for us we have an amazing group of people up here at our little cabin. We love our mountain family. We have get togethers every weekend, we all help each other, and all have the best time together. Looking forward to this new chapter and living the rest of our lives up here on this beautiful mountain. I’m sorry Irish but trussville hasn’t had a small town feel for 20 years. I grew up there and it was great until around the time I graduated. Good luck with the sale though you should have listed 8 months ago.

Good luck with the sale though you should have listed 8 months ago. This is why I love Aldeer... So much positivity.  I can understand why you would feel that way. When we bought the house, The driving range on highway 11 was still there and the only hardware store was Herb's. We were excited to get Marvin's. It's all good. Somebody is in control besides me, so I ain't worried in the least. I'm actually excited about it. I think it's going to sell quick at the price we have it listed. Thanks for the comment.

I don't know much about that area, but that seems cheap the way houses are priced now. That’s absolutely below replacement value. You cannot buy that lot and build that house in 2023 for that price.

Many homes are listed for a very reasonable price but then have multiple offers over asking. We just sold one in Andalusia doing that and had multiple offers over asking.
