Thank you, Lord, for allowing me to see another hunting season and be able to enjoy this great sport that I love so dearly!!!!!

I’m live from the shooting house (LFTSH) with my 6 year old son, Emory. He’s been practicing a lot with our crossbow and he’s been itching to try and kill a deer…we’re in a shooting house overlooking a beautiful, lush foodplot with a corn pile. Yeah, yeah, I know: crossbow and a corn pile (double whammy!). I’ve purchased a baiting permit for both of us, so we’re 100% legal. You can bash me all you want. You’re not gonna hurt my feelings!!

I’ve been getting lots of does on camera here and one older, ugly buck that’s still in velvet.

We snuck in here early and let everything settle down and deer were all around us almost immediately!! Emory got a good shot at a doe at 25 yards about 10 minutes ago and I think she’s down!! She mule-kicked and tore out of here, but I believe he hit high-lung. Hopefully, we have a doe down!!!
