Back in his Prime, old Harvey Updike could do a good job. So I’ve heard.

If damage to surrounding vegetation is a concern, apply a 40+% active ingredient of clopyralid herbicide (Transline or Clean Slate) as a 0.5% solution (2 ounces per 3-gal. mix) in water with a surfactant at 1% solution from July to September.

Your main problem will be keeping the oaks and hardwoods. Escort works pretty well on it and you can use in pines, but oaks don’t like the higher rates needed. Tordon/Method are great, but the pines will croak and some oak species also.
You may take a look at Transline. It controls kudzu fairly well and a lot of tree species can tolerate it, although it will curl the leaves.

If you do the things you need to do when you need to do them then someday you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them.

Goats like CNC said. I’m pretty sure they’re guys that bring their goats I and let them chow down. My late sis made mention of some in Georgia.

There is a colored fella around Evergreen that pulls truck loads every weekend. See him all the time with a truckload, and see him walking leases on road edges pulling it.

He is apparently selling it to a local wedding/event planner as decorations.
