Probably a silly question but can you legally force a neighboring property owner to take control of their kudzu problem? Short story, the people that own the land that backs up to mine, but don’t live on it, has a really bad kudzu problem that is encroaching onto my place and wanting to climb over my back fence. The water meter reader can’t even hardly get to my meter. If they would have a mulcher come in and clean it up, I’d keep it cut back with my mower. They have no desire to do anything though. Short of me just going onto their property and having a 25’ strip mulched, or spraying it down with some type of weed killer, is there anything I can do to force them to address it? I even offered to buy an acre right behind me, and make it my problem, but they don’t want to sell any of it.

I highly doubt there’s any way you can legally force them.

The only thing I think you can legally force someone on is dead trees endangering your house and even that I think is tough.

If it’s inside the city limits they might have an ordinance that can help but otherwise “No”.

Spray it. Northern tools tree sprayer will shoot about 30 feet.

Thank God that the answer to that question is still NO. It's their property. Call them and talk about it. They're likely reasonable people. They probably wouldn't care a bit if you sprayed it. But I'd ask first.

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14

You are in for a battle with that kudzu. You have to wage war on it for a couple of years before it quits growing.

From August through October, Escort XP is an excellent choice for kudzu control. At a use rate of 4 ounces to the acre.

I spend about $100 a year on chemicals spraying my neighbors property from my property.
