My favorite 16 is my grandfathers Remington model 11. That’s an A5 copy but this one is a plain barrel improved cylinder that is not sexy by any means but I hit well with it and I feel like he’s with me each dove season I take it out. My dad tells stories about pawpaw picking three quail out of a covey rise and mowing them down with authority.

My most classy 16 has to be my LC Smith 16 with 28” barrels choked modified/improved modified with ejectors and beautiful wood. I rolled up a few roosters in sodak last year with her and it made me proud for a gun built in 1908.

I shoot a modified choke '97 about once a year. It's a heck of a dove gun.

Used to be a lifeguard, until that blue kid got me fired.

You must have had the Chamber lengthened as those had 2-5/8" Chambers.

I got a Steven’s SxS 16gauge from my Father in law. One of his uncles passed and in helping to move some stuff out of the house, one of the kids of said uncle asked him if he wanted any of his guns. There were only a few and some were too rusty to even bother with but this 16gauge was in surprisingly good condition. He doesn’t hunt but knew that I did and I had been eyeballing a 20ga. SxS before. Really glad he thought of me in that moment. Going to tote it with me on Saturday like I did on the dove opener last year. It’ll knock some birds down if the shooter can do their part.

The ybuilt the early '97s with 2 9/16 chambers, but went to 2 3/4 in '31.

I have my late uncle's Sweet Sixteen (IC) and a Rem 870 Wingmaster with IC and Full barrels.
The Sweet is a bit finicky about ammo, but they both work. I may have had my best dove harvest with the Sweet about 12-15 years ago in Calera.

My grandfather just recently gave my dad his father's 1930 Sweet 16! It's in great condition for the year and a super awesome family heirloom! We always knew he had it, just never looked up the serials to date it until now.
