Some azz clown hit the bumper on my truck and bent it, and knocked the edge into the paint on the bed and took a chip out of it. On top of the scratches on the side of the bumper, you can see the chip and the raised section in the back under the plastic bumper cover.

There is NO WAY they didn't know they hit it.

Freaking try to keep my truck looking nice and dent free.......

Good news is it usually comes in 3's so your ahead of the curve. Similar situation ruined my front bumper. Order one like this and replaced it myself. turned out to make it even better. I had the same thing happen to my truck, at my son's wedding!!

The wife and I were in Birmingham a few years back and she needed to stop at a cloth shop off of 31. It was in a shopping center between Hendricks and 459. She was inside about 30 minutes while I sat in the car. I saw 5 different ~60 yo white women hit other cars while trying to get into their parking spots. In all cases, they either backed out and parked elsewhere or looked to see if they damaged the car they hit. In two cases, I could see the struck car rock from the impact. It became almost comical. None of them left notes on the other car or made any effort I could see to notify the owners.

my front bumper is slightly bent inward/backward on the driver side, and the driver side headlight is cracked, due to someone backing into it in a parking lot. the damage is minor....the bumper isn't really noticeable unless you know to look, and the light still works, and the crack was along the edge so it's not really noticeable either.....but there is no way that person didn't feel that.

Just one more reason I struggle to understand how people will spend $80-100k on a vehicle, knowing that it's more than likely gonna get torn up to some extend by stupid idiots

This is one reason I park out away from everyone else and walk. I don't mind, and don't care if my vehicle is the only one "wayyyy out there" in the parking lot.

And yet, often, I will come out and find some mouthbreathing asshole who has parked right beside me despite multiple open spaces.

But I stopped worrying years ago about scratches and dings. They're inevitable.

You must alone when you do that, no way the missus would agree to let you park at the bottom of the parking lot and make her walk.

Years ago I was pulling into a Selma McDonalds parking spot with my youngest daughter and barely touched the car to my side with the Ranch Hand when pulling in. At the time I was driving a F250 Super Crew 4 X 4 with 35" tires and a four inch lift. Besides the lift and oversized tires, and Ranch Hand brush guard, it was difficult to judge distances when pulling into a parking spot. Saying this, I still should've known better. Well the cat driving the beater 72 Caprice Classic was putting on some smelling chit and gyrating to his rap music. He was dancing in his seat while the car was vibrating from the horrible sound coming out of the walmarks speakers. I looked at the fender as I opened the door for my daughter but I didn't see any new damage done over the old dents and rust but I was going to do whatever I needed to make it right. As I passed by the passenger side window, I leaned over and he looked at me and I looked at him and I said, how you doing? He said, " I'm good man. Bout to pick up my gurl and get crazy know what I mean?" I said, alright man if you good I'm good. About thirty minutes later I realize that he didn't even know what happened because he didn't feel it from what he had going on with his rap music and party in the car.

She's at home tending house, cleaning, getting my drink ready when I walk through the door and making sure food is on the table.

She doesn't go out in public except to the store to buy provisions and church. Gotta keep that leash short, y'know, like 1958.

Its a comedy show sometimes. I’ve watched folk drive into my heavy bumpers, damage their car and get out and try to do something to mine like scratch it or kick it.

Had one male Karen bang his fuggin shin on my hitch extension and start kicking the chit outta it until he hurt his foot.

I know what you mean. My wife and I went camping a few weeks just outside of Cherokee,NC. Had to stop and get a dang parking permit at the visitor center in Cherokee. Come back out and some prick done the same thing to my new Tacoma. They had to know they hit something.

Here's a story from the "other side of that coin". I was in a rush trying to catch the last minute flight out of Huntsville to make a business meeting. When I was pulling into a parking spot I grazed the driver's side door on a new pick-up. It didn't do a bunch of damage, but it was damage none-the-less. I could have just gone to another parking spot and not said a thing but that's not how I'm wired. Took one of my business cards and left it on the truck I hit. Apologized and asked them to call me and I'd make sure I took care of the damage. Dude calls me and gave me hell, then had some Barney from the jetport call me a give me a load of crap as well. Dumbass is lucky I was honest enough to admit I damaged his truck - don't think most people would have done that...
