Buck (145 lbs dressed/8 point) 12/22 4:00 PM Madison County, AL Newly hung stand for a hang & hunt that afternoon. Positioned between two small feeder creeks with plenty of sign up and down the banks. 20 yard quartering-away shot into left side that buried up to the fletching and into the opposite shoulder. He took what I presume was an antler to the left eye and it was badly infected. I had been passing on deer this size, but decided to harvest this fine animal. Watched him crash about 60 yards from impact Warm and calm winds out of the S/SW Mathews Vertix 28/65 using Goldtip Hunter XT shafts topped with QAD Exodus heads.
