I loved coaching, missed my calling I guess. It got more fun every year, just wish I could have stayed with them through HS. Treat every parent like they’re the most important person in the program, but make every decision by what’s best for the kids. Play the best kids in the best positions regardless of what anyone thinks or says and you’ll win ballgames. My son stood on the sideline a lot. Everything woke turns to shit

We’re kicking everyone’s tail right now, so all the kids and parents are happy LOL! First team D is pitching a shutout so far and the first team O is off the field by halftime. We really do have a bunch of good kids. There are a couple of exemptions, but an eay group to coach and they want to get better. No crazy moms or dads in the group either. The first thing I told my players at the first team meeting was that were going to win games once they here that they believe it. I had more trouble with my assistant coaches than players or parents, usually over a play call. I had the offense and special teams then a defensive coach who I would let run it how he wanted, and maybe an O line coach the rest were just stand arounds. Delegate, Im not a micro manager. The key is putting the right player in the right position. Had a kid that overheated in a game that had to go to the ER one time scared me like he was my own but he was ok. All in all I look back at it as some of the best times in my life.
