I got my tag renewal notices today. My 2017 travel trailer tag went up close to sixty dollars over last year.The assessed value went up from 3220 to 4920 .I went get my tags and asked the clerk why it went up so much. Only response I got was recreational vehicles were reassessed by the state this year.🤬

I was told last year the state updated all the assessed values last year while vehicle values were at an all time high....not sure how accurate that is...maybe someone else can verify...

My wife looked it up when we got home, said since Covid 19 recreational vehicle prices had risen so assessed values went up.

If it were large driver I could see where it might put a strain on the highway,but I’m already buying a tag for the truck that’s pulling it.

Basically, "we need to steal more of your money, so were changing some numbers and taking more". Whats the chances youll get $10k more if you sell it?

Having the cost of your vehicle registration based on the value of your vehicle is ridiculous just like tax on groceries.

With trucks to pull them sky high and gas nearly $4.00 a gallon . Hmmmmmmm.

Thats nothing . My property tax went up 71% here in lauderdale county . I protested the hell out of it . Property values went up14.5% here . I know I did the research . Sent them bunch different properties from Zillow like mine that was assessed with less value . They called me two days later an said it was a computer glitch . Wth? Knocked off 100k of value of my property. Lots people in my area is pissed with same problem. It’s not just fed or state . The local people will stick it to you also . So many people protesting I seen the revenue commissioner on tv saying it all because every one moving here . Bull crap
