Here in the SW corner of the State, we have lost a lot of turkey habitat. I'll be the first to say that turkeys have truly adapted to the pine plantations. But, there is a timpe period that the area is unsuitable for turky habitat. With the revolving timber harvest that is ongoing in this area, it has served to decrease the overall turkey population. But, that's just my observation.
