I have a couple different things I have tried over the years.... A quick hitch works. BUT I think it works better on a big tractor that carries just a couple different larger attachments. It makes it easy to hookup but you still need to adjust around the toplink most of the time AND everything you have has to be setup on a quick hitch system. If you have different tractors with different category hitches then you sort of create an orgy of issues with compatibility. That's sort of the big picture rub on them for usage on smaller machines.

I think Pat's Easy Change system is a better setup for smaller machines, however the key to this is to leave a toplink attached to every implement you have. Then you don't have to adjust much. That's really the most convenient setup IMO when you are talking about 5-6ft attachments. It's compatible with about everything... But again you might have to have tweak things to get this setup correctly AND if you swap to this system you might find your PTO is short because it extends you lower arms.

I don't know... I have all this stuff and they have their pros and cons. I would do a web search on Pat's vs Quick and it will pull a lot of posts off TractorByNet talking about the differences in these setups with a ton of information. All tractors are different and some are easier to attach things to for sure. I have one with telescoping lower links that are factory and that machine doesn't need something like a quick hitch it's already got one. Or at least it's easy enough.

No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

You better believe it’s worth it. Especially if you’re getting some age on you.

I bought a cat II one for my JD 6065e and couldn't get it to line up the top link on the first quick hitch compatible supposedly piece of equipment I tried to hook up. The top link was too high and I had it as low as it would go. I took it off and never messed with it again. I just bought a set of the Pat's hitches but haven't installed them yet. Also got the PTO link, sick of messing with the dern pto for my bush hog, but have not used it yet either.

Money well spent. I have the same one. I can just move the hook wherever I need it for different top pin locations. There’s still a few attachments that it won’t work on.

I have the Land Pride QH15 and it works great. It makes it so much easier to hook up to the bush hog, box blade and disc. I also bought adapters to use on my other brand landscape rake and grader blade.

They work well IF you have quick hitch compatible attachments. If you don't, it's hit or miss. I have a John Deere 1026R, and the quickhitch I had wouldn't fit my flail mower, it would have fit the bottom pins on my bush hog, but there was no way to secure the top, because its an older bush hog, and it might have worked on my disk. It's a bigger PITA to take the quickhitch off and on than it is to just back up to the impletement and connect to the swing arms and top link. Not sure if I could have connected to my spreader, I never tried that. Def wasn't going to connect to my subsoiler.

One of the best arrangements I have seen was to take the Pat's and weld them to the top of the lower arms. This was in a post on Tractor-By-Net years ago. I've looked and haven't been able to find the post since. The advantage is it would let you keep the PTO shaft length the same.

Be sure your equipment will fit it. My bush hog and cultivator worked great but my disk which is old would not. They are nice keep the moving part clean and greasy.
