Recently bought a house on Campbell Cove Lake in Turtletown TN. Ten miles from GA, five from NC with several hundred thousand acres of public hunting land with few hunters. Elevation is 1700’, low humidity and the temps are way cooler than here. You got the Hiwassee and Ocoee rivers minutes away… I could go on for hours. I love it up there. My wife is so happy she’s moving back home.

It gets HOT there. Hit mid to high 90s when I was there scouting last month and the hi Tuesday is 100 in B-Ferry. It was a winter wonderland last year from Sandpoint to the border as well.

Man, you’ve been away from the south too long to remember what hot is. Sandpoint is 20% humidity right now. It was 94% humidity in Bham today. Average august temp in sandpoint is 82 high & 49 low. Average august temp in Birmingham is 91 high, 71 low. Average January low in sandpoint is 22. Average January low in Bham is 33.

I was talking to a farmer up there last spring, he said most residences don’t even have air conditioning still.

I’ve got some family closeish to Bowling Green. That part of the country would be pretty high on my list too. Wife might want to leave me but if I could swing it, northern Utah or northeastern New Mexico.

Most don't have AC, my buddy said he's about to die just outside Sandpoint. Same for my Montana buddy lol. No AC in most places here either but, typically the Pacific gives us some wind. I come home enough to feel the heat, I don't miss it at all. Mostly 70s here and typically misty rain and 40s in winter. GREAT waterfowl hunting though.
I'm hoping for lows in the upper 20s during my Idaho hunt

Mine is simpler than most - maybe auburn r just outside of in the country - good schools

Maybe the river - house on water - millers ferry - would b relaxing and easy to fish

I enjoyed pensacola when i was there also

Hunt the wind - leave it better than you found it - love your neighbor as you love your self

If I had the money I’d move to my friends development on Dauphin island. Otherwise I’d h ad more north. Nebraska or Missouri but I’d have to look harder

Between Cody, Wyoming and Cooke City, Montana in an area known as the Sunlight Basin or Victor, Idaho area on the Western side of the Grand Teton Mountains.

For those who haven't lived in Wy ,There's a reason why it's the least populated state in the US.. Winters can be absolutely brutal. It'll usually snows 9 months / yr in the higher elevation with a stiff wind on most days

My wife is originally from Ft. Lauderdale and wants to move back When my son gets finished with school in 5 years, we are headed back to mid to South Florida and retiring. I have always loved the beach and fishing in salt water. Can't wait!!

We already did that several years ago, by buying 10 acres on Lookout Mountain and building our cabin debt free, and then moving up here almost 4 years ago. Great weather, great people, great friends, low cost of living, lots of public hunting land across the road, lots of places to fish and play in the water with Little River and Weiss lake, and lots of quiet solitude. However...

Now that I've been to the PNW the last couple of years, I would strongly consider picking up everything and moving to the Cascade Mountains. It would almost be like living in the Swiss Alps, but without the language barrier. Lots of great people out there, lots of wonderful fishing, hunting, gravel roads to explore and camp, and some of the most beautiful scenery in the world.

There's seemingly always a greener pasture somewhere...

Be hard to move from Bama so we would probably move into Northern Bama somewhere.

I was driving down Hobbs Island Road yesterday morning about 6:30AM and thought I'd enjoy living tucked up against the "mountain" off that road.

I will add that a large portion of Wyoming is very dry and High Desert.

Definitely Wyoming for me. My son and daughter-in-law moved to Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada 3 weeks ago. It’s about 75 miles north of the Montana border. Not as crazy as it seems though. That’s where my daughter-in-law is from.
