My 28ga shoots very well out to 35yds with just a full choke. I have not tried TSS loads yet. I assume it will be a 40 to 45 yard turkey killer.

Not weaker just less shot so the pattern is smaller. The pellets are the traveling the same speed and holding the same energy as a 20 or a 12 gauge.

There are many who feel the 28 gauge is an inherently better patterning shell. The real benefit in my book is that they can be built on smaller frames and end up being very slim, trim and lively feeling. However, If it’s not built on a scaled frame it’s kind of pointless IMO.

Look for a Charles Daly. The ones made in the late 60's and early 70's were made by Miroku (Browning's partner in Japan) and are a dead ringer for a Citori. I've got one and love it. Bought it at a gun show for $375. You can find them for $650 and under if you look.

The one I have has extractors instead of the (preferred) ejectors and doesn't have a selectable trigger. Whichever one goes off first always does. They may or may not all be like that.
