There is a bigger push for school vouchers for school choice.
Would you be for a school voucher system for homeschooling? If it was used correctly it would be great, but it would be very abused. But would the abuse be any worse today than the crap public school system?
Would there be a way to control how the $ is used? - special laptops that can only be used for education - pay for internet access - school supplies - traveling teachers to monitor kids monthly
Drug addict parents (all races) would take their kids out of school and steal the $.

One of the reasons we homeschool is to keep them from being forced to learn something we don't approve. In my opinion a voucher just opens the door for more monitoring, aka control. I'll pass and fund our own schooling. If it were done like it should be..I would be ok with folks receiving their money for home school instead of paying the school tax. But, I would have to agree with the above quote..I don't trust the state or Federal government to stay out of my business. We home schooled our youngest and I don't regret it one bit.

The state should have never been involved in the education system at all. Ever.

We homeschool and have noticed a drastic difference in how our boys are progressing and it allows us to control what they are exposed to. I am absolutely for it. Homeschooling isn't cheap, nor is it easy, but it's worthwhile to us. Fellow homeschoolers. Wouldn’t do it any other way.

The state should have never been involved in the education system at all. Ever. The more the government gets involved the worse things get but so many people don't get that. They should abolish the Dept of Education

I am 100% for school choice and vouchers, so parents can put their kids in private or charter schools and make sure they have a chance for a good education. Homeschool parents cannot have it both ways. They do not want to be accountable to the State School Board, but they want the funding. My take is this - leave homeschools alone and do not provide any funding. Christian parents can raise their kids how they want without the State intervening.

We homeschooled and utilized christian schools so I am for it. It was a good choice bit extremely hard job. I'm pretty sure some kids would go uneducated if parents were just given a check.

I see the liberals plan is working. They want you to take your kids out of school IMO.
All the poor kids who have no choice... they will be indoctrinated.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I think it would be better to get a deduction on your income taxes after having the proof of enrollment and grades from a curriculum and any related expenses like an iPad or laptop for the remote learning, limited to only one every 3-5 years unless providing proof of it breaking before that time frame is up so folks can't just go get a new one every year just because a new one came out.

Defund the public school indoctrination camps along with “Higher” education until the Constitution is a core competency requirement.
