I have a RecTeq and love it. I had to call customer service once, they were very helpful. I thought the grill was messed up, but it was just a void in the pellet auger.
I don't give a crap what anyone else thinks about pellet grills, it's the best investment I've made in a long time. I have a BGE that hasn't been lit, once, since I bought the RT.
The food is plenty smoky enough. It's very simple to cook on. I don't have to tend it, which gives me time to do other things. If you want to sit up all night, tend a smoker and check the meat every hour, then you don't need a pellet smoker. I have better things to do. I just like to eat good food. Makes sense but I am the exact opposite. Tending the smoker/grill and the cooking process is as enjoyable to me, if not moreso, than eating the food. It's supposed to be 102 degrees this Thursday. Are you going to burn splits when you get off work to cook a few pieces of chicken? I'll push a button on my Broil King easy bake and have a cold beer!
