Have any of you guys bought and used the ASF ez-feeder that they sell at buc ee’s? Tell me your thoughts, pro’s, cons. I’m thinking about phasing out my tripod feeders.

I haven’t tried one of the EZ Feeders but I have their hitch mounted road feeder/spreader and it’s a great quality product if that helps.

I have their road feeder and a stand&fill. Both are great.
I think the one at Buc-ee's doesn't come with the solar panel or a battery. Solar panel is awesome. I have been using the same battery for almost 4 years.

I bought one but havent put any corn in it yet. It does come with a solar panel but no battery. From what I have read if you fill it up all the way with corn, the feed bin flex's some and will put a bind on the spinner. So the fix is to cut some small pieces of pvc and wedge them between the bin and the bottom plate before you fill it.

I haven't heard that, but you will need to upgrade to an Eliminator spin plate if the skwerls find your feeder. That keeps them from using it as a free buffet.

Which road feeder do you have? I am looking to get a good one for my mule. I talked with a buddy and he says the ASF road feeder he has he also uses to plant his greenfields and that it slings wheat and oats plenty far not just 8-10' as you would think a road feeder would.

Hercules 100 lb
It's been a good one. I mainly use it for seed and fertilizer. With fertilizer, really important to disassemble, wash, and dry before storing again.

I have several 1000# stand and fill feeders they are holding up well the only issue is they may condensate a little in the winter.

EZ Feeder 600 is a good feeder. It's All Seasons economy line so it's not as well built as the ASF Stand & Fill 600. Think I saw last week at Buc-cees the price had increased from $499 to $549. Only issue I've had is the bottom sags if you fill with 600 lbs of feed so I just use 400lbs and it operates fine. To this point, it has been varmint and hog proof.

I’m still on the fence with picking up a couple of these. Anybody tried one this season?

I have one. So far its been fine. I heard about the issue with filling it all the way up so I usually just put about 400lbs in. I have several of the Academy game winner 600lb feeders and one 750lb feeders. So far they have all worked great. I run the 750 year round. The 750 is 12 volt

What is the issue with filling the bucees all the way? Filled mine to the top twice this season and haven’t noticed any issues. I also have 2 of the game winner 720 easy fills, they’ve been great too but the way the two pieces go together makes some corn hang up there on the lip the joint creates.

Some people have had issues when it’s full, the bottom bows and the spinner plate won’t spin correctly.

I have 4 of the 1000lb ASF They work fine. Also have 5 of the 5000# TWS feeders they are great, built like tanks. Only Issue I have had with the ASF is condensation. And if you use the gravity feeders you better trap like crazy around them or the raccoons will drag all the feed out on the ground.

We have had three of the 300 LB standard feeders for over 10 years. Durable and keep the water/elements out. Recommend.
