Anybody on here got anyone still playing?

I was surprised to hear Hartselle got put out, but I know Oxford is supposed to be pretty good.

I watched the Cullman-Gardendale series last week.

I'm not try to slip over the Jacksonville and watch the finals if I can get off work.

I played at Cullman back in the day, so always keep an eye on them. Saw them beat Athens. Oxford will be tough.

G.W. Long still in it. Playing Ariton today in the semis. If we win it this year that will be 18 state championships.

Stanhope Elmore was who we (Cullman) beat in the finals in 2002 when I played at Cullman. Spanish Fort eeked out a win against Saraland and will play Stanhope Elmore in the southern bracket to go to the finals. I don't think Spanish Fort is gonna make it past them.

I think Cullman's best shot is to try to mis-match their aces against Oxfords number 1 and win it 8n three games. Sounds like that's what Hartselle tried to do and would have worked if not for a huge error in the 7th that cost them the game.

Stanhope Elmore beat us out in 3 round in 1999. Matt ames broke bo Jackson's homerun record in that game which was a state record at the time. Believe he ended up with 22 .

I was at the Spanish Fort/Saraland game. It was a battle all the way through the end.

Spanish Fort and Stanhope are playing their 3rd game of the 3 game series and it’s in the 5th inning best I can tell but delayed for weather. The games yesterday were close and they split.

I got family on a team in Mississippi that is still in their playoffs. Trying to catch what I can of that on the updates.

Well I was wrong, Spanish Fort beat Stanhope Elmore and goes to the finals.

Cullman got swept last night by a very good Oxford team. They had a good run and I think the final four is a nice feather in their cap for the group they had. Left 12 people on base in game 2, including bases loaded twice.

I have a question, because I’m not sure I understand.

Looks like Spanish Fort has to play Oxford in Oxford for the state title. Why would the state title series. It be played at a neutral site?

I’m sure it’s always been this way, I’m just trying to understand it if anyone knows.

JSU is hosting the state championships, it just happens that Oxford is in the finals.

That makes sense and I figured it was something to that effect.

Do they swap universities that host every year?
