Hey guys, haven’t been able to find anything on mag capacity for hog hunting on private land. Is it the same a deer at 3 rounds max?

I'm curious to know where you found this info. I've never seen it.

Moly, it’s what I was told and it may be incorrect. I can’t find anything stating a maximum magazine capacity for anything.

Gotta use some common sense. Think about it. If it was 3 rounds max, pretty much every bolt action, pump, lever, and semi-auto deer rifle in Alabama, except for single shots, would be illegal.

Abolt, yea I know. I was only questioning it because my bolt guns have 3 round mags and shotguns have a 5 round plug standard.

In Alabama as far as I can remember you’re limited to a 10 round mag on public, no restrictions on private

The only limitation on private land is no automatic weapons. You could use a belt fed weapon if it’s semi automatic. 10 rounds on most public land. Some public is more restrictive to allowed weapons and seasons.

Most public land is no longer 10 rd max magazine. They did away with that restriction a few years ago. Some still may be but the ones I hunt it is not there any more.

Public land is the same as private. No mag capacity limitations.
