I don't really know what people charge but I can tell you how I receive quotes and about what I pay.
About $10 per foot of cut. If you are doing it for less you are probably losing money unless the site has been regularly maintained.
No government employees were harmed in the making of this mess.

I charge $60/hr. My landscaper says I need to charge $75. Probably because most grass cutters with a $1000 mower are making that per hour or more.
