Ha..It be my luck after I pulled the toilet then pumped out the septic and strained it, she would find it a week later in the side pocket of her purse.... well not exactly what happend... but pretty DAMN close. apparently it somehow came off her hand when she walking to her car after work and landed in the grass. She found the outer band on thursday morning next to where she parks at in some grass, BUT the maintenance man had cut grass before she got to work and the lower half of the inner band was found mangled up and no stones or upper half of the band to be found. Miraculously the outter band is not damaged a bit. At least the price of gold is high right now this weekend. I would take what you got to the pawn shop or local coin dealer and get what you can for the metal tomorrow. Gold is currently running about $1990 a troy oz for 24kt. So 14kt, even mangled at about .25 ozt will still fetch you a couple hundred to put towards a new ring. ill have to look at the receipt but its either white gold or platinum .

Glad y'all figured it out! But goodluck making money on jewelry it's severely (should be criminal) over priced even wayyyyyyyyy wayyyy worse than furniture & clothes smh......

The pawn shop or coin dealers will still buy whatever it is at melt price. Here is a table of the current price per troy ounce for the weekend. White gold is still gold, it just has nickel in it to make white. https://www.kitco.com/market/
