I mostly wear Lucchese or Rios of Mercedes. Both are really comfortable to me. I like Lucchese the best though. The Rios wear a little heavier.

I bought a pair of Tecovas about a year ago. Most comfortable out of the box I ever tried.

I've been wearing Ariat Heritage Ropers for the last 6 years and they are plenty comfortable to me.

Something with a wedge sole. I'll never own another pair of "Cowboy" boots. I wore mine to church last Sunday and my hip was hurting when I got home. Wearing wedge soled boots on concrete all day from 7 am til 530 pm with no pain at all. I'm a believer them.

I got some Ariat Pro Performance "Relentless " in dark brown full quill/sq toe as a gift- have been pretty comfortable. I also hear Tecovas is best out of the box as UncleHuck says. Son has son has Lucchese sq toe brown full quill he likes, but they were out of my price range.

I wear Ariat’s at work. Very comfortable but I only get about a year out of them before they get pretty worn.

Lucchese end tail gators, each boot is the end section of a gator tail. They hold up a lot better than when they try’n sew belly sections together. There are better boots to be bought in south Texas though, better hide and cheaper
